"Wahabism", as it is now used, is a euphemism for Sunni Islam. Isis (Daesh) is merely one more regiment of Islamic students (Taliban) who study the Quran and the Hadiths and then set out to implement their "religion".
The word “Jihad” is mentioned 164 times in Quran and 199 times in Hadith. The word “Jihad” has two meanings, namely “struggle within mind” and“warfare with sword” (jihad bil saif). Both are valid as per the context in Quran/Hadith. However the former refers to Mahomet's introspection at Medina, while the latter refers to Mahomet's subsequent practice of genocide, massacres, mass rapes and sexual slavery at Mecca. The Caliphs and the Hadiths are quite clear that what happened later (Mecca) has greater force and supercedes Medina, and so it is that Moslems have practiced Jeehad bil Saif ever since. But, as commanded by Mahomet in the Quran, they practice deception (Taqiya, Muruna, Kitman etc) and fool the willing that Jeehad is only that of Medina. Mahomet commanded that every true Mahamutton must perform Jihad.
Pax Britannica put Islam in its place undoing the Mehdi, dismantling the Ottomans and pacifying the Middle East, South and South East Asia and much of the World. However, Pax Americana has revived the Jeehad bil Saif of Islam with White Hice and NATO decision and opinion makers since Richard Nixon on Petro Dollar pay rolls, what with Clinton bombing Belgrade for 84 days to hand over Bosnia and Kosovo to the Caliphate and with Bush and Blair deflecting anger over 9/11 from the perpetrators, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan to secular and modern Iraq.
The blind leaders of "democracies" and the blind uneducated who vote for them have been groping this elephant called Islam for some time now under the influence of opinion and decision makers on Petro Dollar pay rolls. Islam (Sunni. Other brands of Islam are irrelevant minorities except in tiny geographies) was held in abeyance for a brief while after the elimination of the Mahdi in Sudan and the defeat of the Ottoman Caliphate by the superior technology and global reach of the British Empire and the civilizing Pax Britannica.
The successors to the Ottomans (Ata Turk) repudiated Islam and founded a modern Turkey that is now being subsumed, once more, in the Islamic fervour led by wannabe Caliph, Erdogan. Ever since Sheikh Yamani renegotiated the Oil Pricing Mechanism in the 1960s, and the Saudis purged him after his kidnap by Carlos (the Jackal) to take the power over the wealth back, the Saudis have been pursuing the policy that they committed to the Wahabis to ascend the throne of Saudi Arabia. Accordingly, to do all in their power to actualize the commands of Mahomet in the Quran and the Hadiths to establish Islam and enforce the Sharia all over the World on the rubble of civilizations, they have funded Mosques and Madrassas around the World that have been churning out indoctrinated Taliban (students) for more than forty years now. Their lead has been followed by Petro Dollars from Kuwait, Qatar, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei to mention a few. Mecca and "Haj" has been the clearing house for Islamic empire building. They leveraged Pakistan to draw the US into Afghanistan to push the Russians out and in this process got the US to set up Al Qaeda (The Base) a staff college of guerrilla warfare that turned the already indoctrinated Taliban into Islamic warriors.
The Taliban have formed into any number of regiments such as ISIS (ISIL), Boko Haram, Al Shebab and others vying with each other to replicate the brutality set out by Mahomet in his Quran and Hadiths. The Saudis got the US to bomb Belgrade for 84 days to give Islam their first ethnically cleansed enclaves (Bosnia and Kosovo) in Europe after 1489. The Saudis got the US to sink three trillion Dollars and generate 5,000 body bags for Arlington in Iraq to deflect anger over 9/11 from themselves and their Nuke and Terror wielding sword arm, Pakistan and, in the process, got rid of the modern Sadam Hussein regime in Iraq under which communities of Jews, Christians, Yazidis,and others prospered with modern education, health facilities, bars and discos.
They then got the US to begin work on the other modern Baathist regime Syria. Shia Iran is the other eyesore for the Sunni Saudis and their hired gun, the US, which handed over Libya to the brutal and atavistic Army of Islam. While the US continues to look the other way in public while pretending within the corridors of power that it is "using" Islam, by turning Sunni against Shia and playing Checkers (Chess is beyond US intellectual ability) in the Middle East, to the joy of Western war profiteers,the empire of Islam is spreading.
Islam has an antidote to the wisdom that an atavistic and barbaric theocratic Imperium cannot survive in competition with Modern Nation States: They ensure that there are no Modern Nation States. With the collapse of Pax Britannica in World War II, it happened to India; (Punjab, Sindh, Bengal, Kerala Kashmir). It happened to Yugoslavia (Bosnia, Kosovo). It has happened to Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya. Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, Lebanon. It is happening to Turkey and Kenya. NOW. Not then. Islam's shelf life has just begun. Assam (India) will probably be the next to fall into Islam’s maws followed by Kerala (India). Pax Americana meanwhile is about to fade, politely, into History, making way for the pay masters of it Decision and Opinion makers, Islam.
